DRS was founded in 1997 as the distributor for Anti-Virus Software. It soon became clear that of greater importance to our clients was the need for network and information security, as the advent of the internet increasingly exposed them to risks from both internal and external sources. In response to this need DRS has expanded its expertise to include security solutions based on the distribution and management of anti-virus and content filtering software, as well as perimeter security solutions, which include 24 x 7 x 365 monitoring of firewalls and intrusion prevention devices.

As our customer base increases and their network security requirements evolve, DRS continues to further expand its product and services portfolio, in order to effectively secure the integrity of our clients' information technology systems and data. These products and services enable us to offer our clients holistic managed security solutions.

DRS, from being a small company, has grown to become a renowned privately owned South African information technology security company. Today, hundreds of leading South African companies, including some 60% of JSE listed companies depend on DRS for their network security requirements.

Currently, DRS has offices in Johannesburg and Cape Town. DRS has interests in companies in Zimbabwe and Kenya, which allows us to provide services and support to multinational companies which have offices throughout Africa.
