SETTING THE DRS FTP SITE AS A SOURCE REPOSITORY IN ePO
|

1. Login to your ePO server using your ePO admin credentials
|
|
|
2. Once you have logged in:
- Select “Software”
- You will be transferred to the next window. Select “Source Site”
- Then select “New Source Site”.

|
3. You will be transferred to the next window:
- Please enter your naming convention for the new DRS FTP source repository.
- Select a radio button for the update protocol.
- Then click "Next".

|
4. From there you will then be transferred to next window:
- Please enter the following FTP site location: “ftp.drs.co.za”.
- Confirm "port 80" is selected.
- Then click "Next".

5. The next window will appear:
- Select “Anonymous”.
- Then "Test credentials".
- Click "Next".
|
|
|
6. Once you have clicked "Next", a new window will appear.
- Verify entries are correct.
- Click "Save".
|
|
|
7. Once saved, you will be taken back to the “Source Sites” window.
|
|
|
8. After the “Source site” is created you will be required to create a “task”.
|
|
9. First, click on Automation.
|
|
|
10. Once you have been transferred to the new window:
- The task will be named “New Task” by default. Enter a name of your choice.
- Ensure the "Enable" radio button is selected.
- Then, click "Next".

11. In the next window customise your task schedule.
- Schedule Type “Daily”.
- Enter a start and end date for the task or opt for "No end date".
- Enter a schedule time, eg: “01h00 am”.
- Then click "Next".

12. In the next window please do the following:
- From the first drop down box select “Repository Pull”.
- In the "Source Site" drop down menu, select the recently created source site name.
- Keep the rest of the setting "Current".
- Then click "Next".

|
13. The next window will appear:
- Verify your task has been created.
- Click "Save".
|
|
14. Log off.
|
|
15. You have created a task to pull the DAT files from the DRS ftp site.
