Cyber Security 2019: It’s Not All Bad News So Far
Published by IT Web, DRS talks about Cybersecurity in 2019. In this article, Managing Director of DRS, MJ Strydom, explains that the upcoming cybersecurity predictions for 2020 will be complete with the usual gloom and doom, but that it’s not all bad news so far.
Strydom speaks about some positive trends such as crypto-miners being on the decline this year with only 21% of organisations worldwide reporting they have been affected by this as compared to 42% during its peak in 2018.
In addition, two main E-mail scams are here to stay. “We live in a world where e-mail scams have become a business in which professional cybercriminals are hired to run e-mail campaigns”, says Strydom who also speaks about attacks against cloud environments.
